The health and proper functioning of our respiratory system is very important and every day we are exposed to several factors or situations that can affect it.
Pulmonary diseases are a group of diseases that can affect the way our body transports or exchanges gases that are imperative for our cell´s functioning and life itself.
There are 3 main types of respiratory diseases:
- RESPIRATORY TRACT DISEASES:
Diseases that affect the tubes that carry oxygen and other gasses in and out of the lungs, causing a narrowing or obstruction of the airways.
- LUNG TISSUE DISEASES:
Diseases that affect the structure of the lung tissue causing inflammation in it, preventing the lungs from expanding properly, making it difficult to capture oxygen and release carbon dioxide.
- DISEASES OF THE PULMONARY CIRCULATION:
Diseases that directly affect the blood vessels in the lungs caused by clotting, scarring, or inflammation of the blood vessels.
- COPD.
- Pulmonary fibrosis.
- Pneumonia.
- SARS-Cov 2
- Pulmonary emphysema
- Asthma
- Respiratory insufficiency
- Respiratory infections
- Immunoregulation
- Limit tissue injury extention
- Slow down progression of the disease
- Enhance our body´s tissue repair mechanisms
- Reduce inflammation
- Angiogenesis
- Prevent fibrotic tissue adding (scarring tissue)
Procedure
All personalized treatment plans are based on each patient´s specific diagnosis and/or current condition.
Pulmonary treatments generally consist of the combination of systemic stimulation through I.V. therapy along with Airway and lung stimulation through Exosomes (MSC-Exo) nebulization.
All specific procedures are explained in detail during consultation with Dr. Fonseca.
